Bonjour French Press

Would you like the opportunity to be able to enjoy a great tasting cup of coffee? Then it is worth considering investing money in a Bonjour French Press. With one of these machines you will be able to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee rather than one that has been standing in the pot for several hours.

Plus another advantage to using a Bonjour French press rather than an espresso machine is that they use far less electricity. So this means that you are actually helping to reduce your carbon foot print and so protecting the environment.

As well as the French presses from Bonjour allowing you to make coffee easily these are also the types that are very hard to break. So after you have chosen to invest money in one of these machines how can you ensure that the coffee you make using yours tastes really great. Below we offer some tips you may find useful.

Tip 1 – Always use coarsely ground coffee in your French press if you go for that which is finely ground there is a greater chance of it being able to slip through the filter. This will result in you having gritty particles (sediment) in the coffee that you drink.

You have two choices you can purchase coffee that has been coarsely ground already. The other choice you have is to purchase a grinder and then take the whole roasted beans and grind it yourself. Going for the second option is far better as this will help to ensure that you get the best possible taste from the coffee you make.

Tip 2 – Make sure that you always add boiling water to the coffee in your French press as this allows more of the flavour to be released more quickly from the grinds in it. You should never be concerned about adding fresh boiling water to the French Presses from Bonjour as these are unlikely to break due to the polycarbonate material from which it is made.

Tip 3 – Following you adding the boiling water to the French Press you have purchased made by Bonjour make sure that the lid is correctly aligned so that the splatter guard is in the correct position. Then leave the coffee grinds plenty of time to brew. Around 4 minutes should be more than sufficient time but you can allow it to brew for much longer or shorter. It depends how strong you like your coffee to taste.

Tip 4 – When you feel the coffee has brewed for a sufficient amount of time then you are ready to press the plunger down. However, don’t push the plunger down quickly do so slowly until you have filtered the coffee properly. If you do it too quickly some of the grinds may actually be able to get past the filter and ruin the feel of the coffee as you drink it.
