When using French Press coffee makers to create great tasting coffee quickly and easily, it is importnat that you make sure that you use the right sort of ground coffee. If you don’t then the essential oils within the ground beans cannot be extracted properly and so the taste of the coffee you brewed will be badly affected.

So it is important that if you can you also purchase yourself a good quality coffee grinder. This iwll help to ensure that the size of the grounds you place in to your French press are ideal. Plus you are going to be using grounds that are considerably fresher than those that have been pre ground for you and prepackaged. Although they may cost less the flavour that they produce won’t be as good. So make sure that you don’t go for coffee beans that are less than 3 days old or more than 10 days old.

So why is it so importnat that you use a good quality coffee grinder ? Below we look at just some of the reasons.

Reason 1 – The size of the coffee grounds is important that you put into your French press coffee maker as those used for making an espresso. It is important to make sure that the grounds you place in your coffee maker are much larger as well as being uniform in size. If they are fine there is a greater chance of them being able to pass through the plunger filter resulting you getting sediment into your coffee. This in turn could result in not only the coffee tasting gritty but also quite bitter.

Reason 2 – By ensuring that you know exactly the size of the grounds being produced you will find that you may need to use far less in order to create a great tasting cup of coffee. This is because freshly grinding your own coffee ensures that more of the essential oils inside the beans has been retained and which will then be extracted in to the liquid as the mixture is provided with time to brew.

Reason 3 – When it actually comes time to press the plunger down to prevent the grinds from getting into the liquid you will find it a lot easier. But you still need to be wary and ensure that you don’t put into too much hot water or the chances of the hot liquid spilling over the sides and scalding your hands will be increased.

When it comes to looking for the perfect coffee grinder to purchase to use in conjunction with your French press coffee makers there are certain features to look for. Look for ones that don’t have a nylon filter installed as these are going to allow a great portion of the fine particles to be able to pass through. By going for those models that are fitted with a metal filter you will find that the grinds produced are not only much coarser but are more uniformed in size.

Although most people will traditionally use a French Press Coffee Pot to make a superb tasting cup of hot coffee. What many do not realise is that this piece of kitchen equipment is just as great for using it to cold brew your coffee as well.

Certainly for anyone who would like to have the facility to be able to make their own iced coffee on a warm or hot summers day then cold brewing one’s coffee should be seriously considered. The reason that the coffee you make using a French Press coffee pot will taste so good whether hot or cold is down to there not being any filters in the equipment.

This then ensures that a greater portion of the essential oils to be found in the coffee beans remains in the liquid that you produce. So resulting in the coffee you are drinking being much more flavoursome and delicious.

So how do you cold brew coffee that allows you to then make some great tasting and delicious iced coffee drinks? Below we take you through the stepst that you may find helpful so that you have the opportunity to create such drinks using your French press coffee pot.

Step 1 – Into your coffee pot place the right of coarse coffee grounds you would usually put in yours to make a traditional hot cup of coffee. It is important that you use coarsely ground coffee as this will help to ensure more of the essential oils are released and will ensure far less of the sediment can pass through the plunger filter system.

Step 2 – Next to the coffee grinds you should add the same amount of cold water that you would normally add when making a hot cup of coffee with yours. You must make sure that you stir the mixture well before allowing it to stand for 12 hours if you can prepare the water and coffee grinds the night before and allow it to stand in the refrigerator overnight. By providing it with this amount of time the essential oils within the beans will be released into the water making a great tasting cold coffee brew.

Step 3 – Now all you have to do the following morning is remember to push the plunger down on your French press coffee pot to trap the grinds at the bottom. Then you can just pour out your cup of cold brew before adding cold milk or ice cream to yours.

The main advantage to making coffee in this way with a French Press Coffee Pot is that the drink will not only taste much richer but the liquid will be much thicker. In fact it will look similar to that of a large cup of espresso coffee, however it won’t come with the strong and bitter taste of this type of brew. The taste of this drink is far deeper as a result of a large amount of the essential oils in the coffee beans being extracted into the liquid.

With a stainless steel French press you will soon be able to make wonderful tasting coffee for you and your friends time and time again. However, there are certain things that you will need to do to ensure that each cup of coffee you make in yours tastes as great as the first.

Below we offer some tips and tricks that could prove useful and which will help to ensure that you make the perfect cup of coffee. It is worth taking yourtime over making each pot of coffee as this will further help to ensure that the taste is always great. But what else can one do to ensure that each cup of coffee made using a stainless steel French press is perfect?

Tip 1- To ensure that you make great tasting coffee it is important that you use good quality tasting water. If you can use water from the tap which has been filtered using a water filter attachment on your faucet or through a special water filter jug such as those made by Britta. As you will soon discover the quality of the water that you use will enhance the flavour of the coffee you brew in your French press greatly.

Tip 2 – If you can use beans that are between 3 and 10 days old as anything younger won’t have had enough time to mature and they flavour won’t be so full as you would have hoped. Also avoid using beans that are more than 10 days old as these ones will be starting to go stale and again the taste will differ much more.

Tip 3 – It is much better to grind the coffee beans yourself instead of purchasing them ready ground. Unless you have a store locally that will grind them there and then for you. The problem with purchasing with ready ground coffee is that it may be too fine for putting into your stainless steel French press and they may be much younger or older than we recommend above. By grinding the coffee beans yourself you can ensure that the grinds as extremely coarse so ensuring that far less of them will be able to pass through the plunger filter.

Tip 4 – Make sure that when you pour in the water that you leave at least an inch above for the filter and plunger to be inserted. Putting into too much water can lead to some of it squirting out over the sides if you press down on the plunger too quickly and can lead to you being scalded or burnt.

Tip 5 – To ensure that the flavour of your coffee is as rich and full as possible it is important that you give the coffee grinds plenty of time to seep into the water. Plus whilst the mixture is seeping stir it as this will further enhance the taste of the coffee and is going to ensure that less time is provided for the sediment to settle. Allowing the coffee mixture sufficient time to seep in your stainless steel French press will ensure that a large amount of the essential oils in the coffee grinds is extracted.

As there are quite a number of different kinds of unbreakable French press available to purchase today. Choosing one that will also make a great tasting cup of coffee could prove somewhat of a problem. It is therefore that you do some research beforehand and read as many reviews as you can relating to the various different makes and models.

When it comes to doing your research there are certain features that you should be looking for. Below we take a look at just what some of these should be. By keeping the features in mind that we discuss below you are sure not only of getting a great looking unbreakable French press, but one that can may great tasting coffee as well.

Feature 1 – Look for those that come with come with a handle that you can easily grip and which once the press is fully of coffee and hot water remains stable. Ideally the handle should be of a style that your hand can be placed around comfortably and that allows you to hold it well within the palm of your hand.

Feature 2 – Make sure that the main body of the press is constructed either from glass that is contained within a stainless steel screen. This will help to strengthen the glass and also ensure that it won’t be broken should the French press you purchase be dropped or banged against something.

However, you can also consider purchasing one that the actual main body is made from polycarbonate. This is a very tough material however unlike with traditional style French presses you won’t be able to see the coffee. Yet these ones are worth considering purchasing as these have good insulating qualities so the coffee inside tends to stay warmer for considerably longer than when made in a traditional glass model.

Feature 3 – The base of your unbreakable French press should be of the kind that is made from rubber wherever possible. This will help it to retain a firm grip on the surface where it is stood, plus it will help to prevent the heated liquid inside from burning the surface below.

Feature 4 – When it comes to the size of your French press choose the one that allows you to make enough coffee for you to consume at any one time. Certainly for dinner parties then you should go for one that can make at least 8 cups whilst for personal use a small 2 cup version should suffice.

Feature 5 – Finally you need to look closely at the plunge mechanism of the unbreakable French press. Look for those where the filter at the base of the plunger fits snugly against the sides of the pot. These are the kinds that will ensure that far less of the sediment (coffee grinds) will end up in the liquid that you pour out of it. So ensuring that the coffee as you drink it doesn’t feel too gritty and so detracting from your enjoyment of your drink.

Although the Frieling French Press may not be the most expensive type of this equipment on the market it is certainly one of the best. In fact many people don’t solely use theirs for making great tasting coffee in but also for tea and as a pitcher to search juice or other cold liquids in because of its sleek design.

Each one of the French presses made by Frieling are constructed from 18/10 stainless steel. Plus the main part of the unit is double walled so not only is it far stronger than traditional style glass one’s but is better able to retain the heat. But also this double wall will ensure that cold drinks put inside will remain colder for longer as well.

So what are the advantages to owning this type of French press over the many other models that are available today? Below we look at some of the benefits to be gained from owning a Frieling French Press.

1. As mentioned these are made using 18/10 stainless steel which means that each cup of coffee you drink from it will be as hot as the first. This is due to the insulating properties of the material from which the main body of the press has been constructed.

2.	Even if you do happen to knock yours against another surface hard or drop it as the main body of the unit is made up of two walls there is no risk to the internal one being affected. So this means none of the insulating properties of the unit will be lost. Also it means that you won’t have to spend time cleaning up glass as you would with a traditional French press should you drop it or knock it.

3.	Compared to some models these ones from Frieling even with space allowed for the coffee grinds and space at the top to prevent hot liquid spilling out can make you up to 35 oz of coffee. So from one of the larger size models of the Frieling French press you will easily be able to have 4 mugs of great tasting coffee from yours.

4.	What you will find with these French press units is that they are easy to maintain and clean. In fact you can if you want put them in to a dishwasher and will find it has no affect on tarnishing the stainless steel finish to them.

5.	Finally when it comes to anyone of the Frieling French press units available today is that they don’t only look stylish, but they are well balanced and the finish to them on the outside is excellent. So placing them on the table at the end of a dinner party won’t ruin what was a great evening and certainly won’t look out of place if you also take yours camping with you.

Would you like the opportunity to be able to enjoy a great tasting cup of coffee? Then it is worth considering investing money in a Bonjour French Press. With one of these machines you will be able to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee rather than one that has been standing in the pot for several hours.

Plus another advantage to using a Bonjour French press rather than an espresso machine is that they use far less electricity. So this means that you are actually helping to reduce your carbon foot print and so protecting the environment.

As well as the French presses from Bonjour allowing you to make coffee easily these are also the types that are very hard to break. So after you have chosen to invest money in one of these machines how can you ensure that the coffee you make using yours tastes really great. Below we offer some tips you may find useful.

Tip 1 – Always use coarsely ground coffee in your French press if you go for that which is finely ground there is a greater chance of it being able to slip through the filter. This will result in you having gritty particles (sediment) in the coffee that you drink.

You have two choices you can purchase coffee that has been coarsely ground already. The other choice you have is to purchase a grinder and then take the whole roasted beans and grind it yourself. Going for the second option is far better as this will help to ensure that you get the best possible taste from the coffee you make.

Tip 2 – Make sure that you always add boiling water to the coffee in your French press as this allows more of the flavour to be released more quickly from the grinds in it. You should never be concerned about adding fresh boiling water to the French Presses from Bonjour as these are unlikely to break due to the polycarbonate material from which it is made.

Tip 3 – Following you adding the boiling water to the French Press you have purchased made by Bonjour make sure that the lid is correctly aligned so that the splatter guard is in the correct position. Then leave the coffee grinds plenty of time to brew. Around 4 minutes should be more than sufficient time but you can allow it to brew for much longer or shorter. It depends how strong you like your coffee to taste.

Tip 4 – When you feel the coffee has brewed for a sufficient amount of time then you are ready to press the plunger down. However, don’t push the plunger down quickly do so slowly until you have filtered the coffee properly. If you do it too quickly some of the grinds may actually be able to get past the filter and ruin the feel of the coffee as you drink it.
